A statement
On the nanny who left a placement with a family in Medina on September 9 and has not been found.
On the evening of Tuesday, September 9, a nanny we had placed with a family in Medina left the house after the children were in bed, and did not return. She has not been found.
The family reported her absence that night. We were told the next morning. Since then we have given the family and the authorities everything we hold, and we will go on doing so for as long as it is useful.
She had been with the family for eighteen months. The children were fond of her, and she of them. Beyond that we will not describe her, the family or the household, and we would ask, gently, that nobody else does either. The family have asked for privacy, which they are owed, and so is she.
We know that many of the staff we place, and many of the households we act for, have read about this, and that some of you have been asked about it by your own families. If you are worried, please call us. Our consultants will talk to you as long as you like. They will not, because they cannot, tell you more than this.
