Eighteen of us work at Larchcombe: seventeen in the house on Tarrant Place West and one in Geneva. Most of the consultants have worked in private service themselves. The office is open from 8:30 to 5:30, the consultants share the duty line at night on a rota, and lunch is taken together in the kitchen on Thursdays, cooked by whichever chef is on our course that week.
Placing nannies, governesses and newborn care specialists with families, under Alison Kemble. We would like someone who has been a nanny for at least five years and would now rather find them. Salary $68,000 to $78,000, with a share of placement fees.
Keeping the Register in order: households, staff files, agreements and the hours staff record, with Sanjay Mehra. Meticulous, discreet and comfortable with a database that was built for us rather than for anyone else. $27 to $31 an hour.
